A MOHALE’S HOEK man accused of raping a four-year-old girl is set to appear in court on 17 June 2016.
According to police deputy spokesperson, Lerato Motseki, 30-year-old Rapelang Ramonyatsi allegedly raped the toddler last month.
“It is alleged that the toddler’s mother went to the shops on 29 May and left the child playing outside,” Senior Inspector Motseki said.
“Upon her return, the toddler’s demeanor had totally changed and she cried while urinating at night.”
Senior Inspector Motseki said the mother rushed the toddler to the hospital where the doctor confirmed her child had been sexually-assaulted.
The child, Sen Insp Motseki added, later told her mother about her alleged ordeal and named Mr Ramonyatsi as the assailant.
Mr Ramonyatsi has since been arrested.
