The Motheo Mohapi coached side is now in second on the log with 19 points but has played two games more than Matlama. Matlama had two of their games postponed due to unavailability of some of their players who are on national duty with the under-20 side at the COSAFA competition in Zambia.

Tse Putsoa have now been relegated to third with 17 points after eight games.

Elsewhere on Saturday, Sefotha-fotha held pacesetters LCS to a 1-1 stalemate at LCS Ground.

LCS have not lost a match since the defeat to Bantu early in September and have recently overtaken Matlama at the top of the log.

Sefotha-fotha on the other hand have endured tough times in recent weeks and are third from bottom on the table.

The Mabote side in its second year of top-flight football has four points from their nine games.

Elsewhere on Saturday, high flying Liphakoe drew 1-1 with LMPS.

The Quthing outfit, under the mentorship of former Kaizer Chiefs development coach, Thabo Tsutsulupa is fourth on the log with 16 points.

Lioli and Kick4Life are among the teams that were out of action last weekend due to involvement of their players in Makoanyane XI’s COSAFA campaign.

The under-20 team is also coached by Kick4Life coach Bob Mafoso.
