Lioli beat LDF 3-0 on Sunday to end the army-side’s unbeaten run in the 2014/15 Vodacom Premier League season.

Tse Nala’s goals came from captain Shetsane Ramoseeka, Tšoanelo Koetle and Montoeli Sonopo, ending LDF’s seven-match fine streak in which they had won six and drawn one of their seven fixtures of the campaign.

However, despite the heavy loss, LDF remain top of the 14-team Premier League table on 19 points, while Lioli are now in third position on 16, but with one match in hand over the pacesetters.

Meanwhile, defending champions Bantu were also big winners at the weekend, thrashing  Qoaling Highlanders to remain in second position and two points behind leaders LDF.

Srtiker Litšepe Marabe hit a hat-trick as A Matšo Matebele registered a 6-1 at home for the second time this season after meting out the same punishment on Sundawana 6-1. Litšepe’s brother, Mokone, scored three goals in that match played in their home-town of Mafeteng.

After Saturday’s loss, Wright Mofoka’s side plunged into the relegation zone, in which they are now third from bottom on the Premiership charts above basement side Nyenye Rovers and FC Likhopo after seven matches.

Likhopo and Kick4Life played to a two-all draw on Saturday, which saw the league rookies occupying 9th position, while Likhopo remained at the wrong end of the table.

Struggling Nyenye Rovers and the Premier League’s surprise package, Likila United failed to find the back of the net as their matches ended goalless in Maputsoe on Saturday.

The other three matches between Matlama and LCS, Linare against LMPS and Mphatlalatsane versus Sundawana failed to take place on Sunday due to waterlogged pitches.
