MICRO lender, Letshego Financial Services, has launched its Let’s Go and Win campaign, reducing its interest rate by 1% following the Central Bank of Lesotho’s recent lending rate cut for commercial banks and financial institutions.

Letshego first introduced the Let’s Go and Win initiative in 2023 as a loan consolidation campaign. The programme allowed customers to combine multiple loans into a single, simplified repayment at lower rates.

It proved transformative, easing financial pressures, improving affordability, and helping customers regain control of their finances.

Under the theme “Lower Rates, Higher Value, More Rewards”, this year’s campaign not only offers reduced interest rates but also gives customers a chance to win prizes tailored to everyday needs, including school fees, grocery trolley dashes, electricity vouchers, and cash prizes.

“The campaign provides customers with lower interest rates and a chance to win a share of M400,000 in cash prizes,” said Letshego’s Marketing Manager, Tsotetsi Seema.

The Letshego Chief Executive Officer, Selloane Tsike, highlighted the purpose of the campaign.

“Our promise at Letshego is simple: improving lives. The Let’s Go and Win campaign is a clear demonstration of that commitment. In 2023, we saw how loan consolidation helped Basotho breathe financially. Today, we are going even further by reducing the cost of borrowing and rewarding customers with prizes that matter most in their daily lives. This campaign is about giving more than a loan — it’s about giving back hope and value,” Ms Tsike said.

The company’s Head of Products and Marketing, Motsebang Moeketsi, spoke on customer benefits, noting that the campaign was designed to address real-life financial pressures.

“When designing the Let’s Go and Win initiative, we wanted to respond to the everyday challenges our customers face, such as school fees, groceries, and electricity bills. That is why our rewards speak directly to these needs, easing their financial load and bringing more value,” Mr Moeketsi said.

The initiative is set to run for three months, from October to December, and is open to both new and existing customers, including government and non-government employees.

Customers qualify by taking up or maintaining a loan with Letshego during the campaign period.

Letshego also expressed appreciation to every Mosotho who voted for them at the PMR Africa awards, where they proudly received the trophy for the Best Financial Service.
