GAGS and Music Wednesday has partnered with Maluti Mountain Brewery’s (MMB) Flying Fish beverage.
The partnership was announced at the first show of 2019 at Cuban Linx yesterday.
Apart from MMB, the show has also partnered with Morali’a Monethi Farm for the provision of healthy produce at affordable prices.
Comedians Tumelo Nathaniel, Seleb, Leotoana and Skaftin performed at the event while musical performances were presented by singer, song writer and record producer, Chino El Vito and Nkoanyane Pitso was on the decks.
Perfect B Spa also pledged four gift cards at the show.
The founder of Gags and Music Wednesday Skaftin (born Jeremiah Lebea) said their partnership with MMB was aimed at pushing responsible drinking message to the consumers of the company’s beverages.
“During our comedy night, people drink and have fun but with this partnership, we will be promoting the importance of drinking responsibly so as to avoid unnecessary accidents,” he said.
He said they are working with Flying Fish as a vibrant beverage which is enjoyed by all sexes.
Skaftin told the Weekender that they would include more live performances this year as a reflection of the following which music attracts as compared to comedy.
“The plan is to try and balance between comedy and music by having more live performances unlike last year when we only had a few,” Skaftin said.
He said they decided to host comedian Tumelo as a new performer at the event because they were aware of his talent and ambition in poetry.
Speaking of their plans this year, Skaftin said they were planning to create more comedy productions which are off the stage.
“We want to do more street prank interviews and also we plan to travel out of Maseru and taking the show to other districts,” he said.
Skaftin further revealed that they also plan of bring international acts which Basotho can relate to gags and music Wednesdays.
