FNB gives out World Cup tickets

MASERU — Eleven lucky First National Bank (FNB) account holders have won double tickets to watch a World Cup match in Bloemfontein, South Africa, on June 20.

The lucky customers on Monday walked away with the tickets worth M1 200 each and will have the honour of watching the Slovakia versus Paraguay match in Bloemfontein.

FNB compliance manager, Likent`so Jankie, said this was one way the bank could thank its loyal customers.

She said FNB was committed to giving its customers a chance to watch the once-in-a-lifetime football showpiece.

“This is to thank our customers for their support. The draw is open to all people who have accounts with FNB.

“However to qualify for the tickets the account has to be active,” Jankie said.

Jankie said FNB Lesotho did not sell any tickets for the World Cup.

She said only FNB South Africa was involved in World Cup ticket sales.

“Many people were expecting that we were going to sell World Cup tickets,” she said.

One of the lucky winners, Leboela Montoeli, said he was excited to have an opportunity to watch the biggest sporting event in the world.

“I am very happy now that I will be able to attend one of the matches. I had not budgeted for the World Cup and was planning to watch the matches on television,” Montoeli said.

`Malerato Fiee, another ticket winner, said: “I feel very happy to have won the ticket for the biggest event in the world all because I opened an account with the bank.”

FNB Lesotho currently operates three branches in Lesotho and has a clientele base of 85 178.

The bank started operating in Lesotho in 2004.
