FITNESS trainer Tseko Mbele is aiming high and dreams of becoming the first trainer to ever fill up the 15 000-seater Setsoto Stadium when he hosts his fitness workshop dubbed Tseko Box Camp on 28 September 2019.
Tseko Box Camp is part of his efforts to encourage Basotho to improve their health by exercising.
The fitness enthusiast has engaged Taelo Pali of Made2rok Events Company to attract the expected number for the event.
Although Mbele has hosted events before, this would be his biggest yet and he says he is crossing his fingers hoping that the forthcoming event will attract the necessary numbers. He said he was inspired to try out Setsoto Stadium having held a highly successful event at Lehakoe Fitness Club earlier this year.
“We have seen the public’s desire to be part of such events and we believe that the upcoming event will attract thousands of people,” Mbele said.
He said the event was scheduled to run from 8am to 1pm and that he would concentrate on power lifting and aerobics.
“Aerobics are a form of physical exercise that combines rhythmic aerobic exercise with stretching and strengthen training routines. Its main goal is to improve all elements of fitness which includes flexibility, muscular strength, and cardio-vascular fitness.”
He said aerobics are entertaining and easier to perform because they include dancing and boxing. He said they would also have different categories to cater for different age groups.
Mbele also hopes the event will motivate the public to work out and live healthy lifestyles while at the same time learning different ways of working out without spending money on gyms.
“People have their different preferences in terms of working out. Some can work out in groups while others prefer individually but that can all be done without spending money on gym subscriptions,” Mbele said.
