LIFESTYLE outfit, Dynamic Transformation will hold a fire-walk event tomorrow at their offices at Makhaleng Complex in Mohalalitoe.

Dynamic Transformation Chief Operations Officer, Nozipho Nonyana said participants would walk on burning coal in an exercise aimed at helping them to overcome their fears and gain the courage to face different challenges.

“I am a qualified fire-walking instructor and have been practicing in Lesotho for three years now,” Nonyana said.

“As strange as those who have not practiced it may find it to be, walking on fire helps you to get in touch with your inner self and realise how powerful you are.”

She said people were not born with fear and only feared things when told they were dangerous.

“Fire teaches different things and also brings healing to the broken soul and inspires certain actions. I cannot say what others learn from the experience of walking on fire but I personally learn a new thing every time after walking on fire.

“People are challenged by many things so in this event we will focus on how to overcome debts as it is still the beginning of the year when most people are deep in debts that they believe they cannot get out of so we will be working on building the “I can make it” spirit.

“Our next session (in April) will be focused on maintaining the right body weight,” she said.

She said they would engage in a two hour session “to get the mind in the right frame” before walking on fire, adding, this was necessary to ensure the mind was in control “so that one does not get burned”.

“I do not encourage people to try it without the guidance of someone qualified to train others.”

She also said that they aimed to turn fire-walking into a monthly event focusing on different themes.
