A MASERU resident from Masowe 2, Mammiki Khemise, has emerged as the lucky Econet Telecom Lesotho customer in the ‘Hoa Hlametseha’ competition after taking home a whopping M150 000 grand cash price.

Ms Khemise was announced the winner over the weekend at a pumped-up festivity at Sefika Complex in Maseru.

Besides Ms Khemisi’s grand price, the competition also awarded seven lucky draw winners with M200 each after joining the competition on Friday at the cheque handover of the grand prize winner.

The competition allows customers to participate through SMSs or opting in to a M2 top-up while buying bundles. Each participant stands a chance to win cash prices weekly and daily ranging from M500 to 2000.

In her vote of thanks after getting the price, Ms Khemise said she was overwhelmed and excited to be one of Econet’s winners.

“This prize money is going to go a long way into my juice bottling business. It is currently in the pipeline.  I partnered with my mother to start it,” said the exuberant Ms Khemise.

The competition was launched in November last year.  This is the second of three grand prices of the competition.

The first grand price was given to a Maputsoe resident, Tankiso Ramaisa, early last month. He got a M100 000 cash price.

In her remarks Econet’s General Manager Marketing, Mapusetso Ntṧekhe, said Econet valued the importance of cultivating everlasting relationships with its customers.

“We understand that customer loyalty goes beyond quality service alone,” said Ms Ntṧekhe.

She said as Econet they were determined to foster a sense of belonging and appreciation among their customer base.

“Handing over this M150 000 grand price symbolizes our dedication to making a meaningful impact in the lives of our customers and the broader community.

“As Econet we are not only bridging the digital gap but also creating a bridge of shared celebrations between customers and the company,” she said.
