MASERU — German disc spinner and producer Ralf Gum is billed to rock Maseru again when he takes the stage at Setsoto Stadium on April 19.

Organised by local telecommunications company, Econet, the show is set to give Lesotho a memorable Easter.

Speaking to the Weekender on Tuesday from his base in South Africa, Ralf said he was looking forward to playing in Lesotho again.
“I am absolutely amped to come back to the Mountain Kingdom, as the previous visits have been great. The hospitality shown to me was awesome and the events I played in were wonderful. I always found the crowd that really loved my tunes.
“The challenges we meet when playing for a whole new crowd is what keeps the deejay’s work interesting. I do not plan my sets; I just select the music to play based on the vibe I find on that night, of course within the scope of my genre.
“As usual, I will keep my music deep and soulful which is the sound I love. There are always surprises in my sets, so people should come through and check it out,” he said.

Ralf Gum is a widely-travelled House music icon, having toured around Europe, Asia, North and South America, giving the best of House music.

Since the dawn of his career in 1990, Ralf has always stayed true to his laid-back and diverse deep house sounds, with harmony and soul as the main ingredients for his work.

After his first tour of South Africa in 2008, which led to an overwhelming response from the fans there, he decided to settle in that country which he sees as the hot-bed for Soulful House Music.

The German House Music muso will be sharing the stage with more South African big names such as Black Coffee, DJ Kent, DJ Dimples, Mo Flava, Miza, Nutty Nys, HHP, Cassper Nyovest, Soul T, Lection, Ma Ali, alongside DJ EL Que, Mekonko, Harris T, Daverts, DJ Slats, DJ Guru, Sir Schaba HD, TalisMindSsteppa King and Basali Allstars.

Home brewed actor Matli Mohapeloa, socialite Boity Thulo and actor Thato Molamu (Nicholas in Generations) will hold it down as the Masters of Ceremonies of the event.
