ORGANISERS of the third edition of the Denim and Sneakers show have promised fireworks at the event that is penned in for Saturday at Cuban Linx in Maseru.

Denim and Sneakers is a social event where the audience is expected to dress along the theme of sneakers and was first held in 2017.

Founder of the event, Motlatsi Makhetha aka Afro Deejay said this year’s event is one not to miss. He said they have lined up more DJs for this year’s event unlike the past two events.

“We have included a different list of DJs to ensure that we do not repeat the same performers,” Afro Deejay said.

He also said they have included several promising upcoming artistes onto the line-up. He added that they would only bring in international artistes when they can afford artistes like Black Coffee in the future.

“I want to see local artistes get the kind of appreciation international artistes have hence I decided not to have any international artiste for this coming event,” he said.

He added that it was crucial to help groom local artistes by adding them on line-ups of their gigs and paying them well.

Afro Deejay said they also chose to host the upcoming event indoors because of the harsh weather conditions that have prevailed in the country lately but said the next edition scheduled for December would be held outdoors.

Afro Deejay said they have also spiced up the event by ensuring that the colour of the cup used by members of the audience will determine whether or not they are single.

“We will be having cups of different colours and each will tell if one is taken or single and ready to mingle,” Afro Deejay said.

Purple will be for single people who are ready to mingle, pink will depend on who is asking, yellow is for those who still want to get back with their ex-partners and blue is for those who are taken.

The line-up will include DJs like Gama, Lobby, Box fresh, Toxique, Nine24, Ten, LYM and Afro Deejay.
