Police last week seized six unregistered firearms and 15 rounds of ammunition during their countrywide Stop-and-Search operation.
Six knives, two stolen cars, three fighting sticks and two scissors were also confiscated during the operation.
Police spokesperson Clifford Molefe said three people were arrested in connection with some of the seized weapons. It was not immediately clear if the three had already appeared in court.
“We will continue to carry-out these operations as there is need to remove these illegal and dangerous weapons from the wrong hands,” Senior Inspector Molefe said.
