BANTU handed LMPS their first defeat of the 2016/17 Vodacom Premier League season courtesy of goals from Hlompho Kalake and Lazola Tjokojokoane.

Tefa ‘Makhoana scored the consolation for the police side to take his tally this season to five goals in as many matches.

However, his team lost their hundred percent record in a game in which they also conceded for the first time this season.

The result also benefited Kick4life who returned to the top of the league table despite their 2-all draw with LCS on Sunday.

Thabiso Brown scored a brace for Kick4Life to move to the top of the goal scoring charts with six goals as his team survived a late penalty to snatch a point against the correctional service side.

Refiloe Mothae and Leboneng Moqecho scored for Masheshena.

Kick4Life’s Sele Thetsane saved Thabang Rabi’s penalty towards the end of the match allowing Leslie Notši’s side to go top with 13 point after six games.

In another match on Sunday, rookies Sky Battalion continued with their impressive run winning 1-0 win against Rovers in Roma.

The University sides are yet to win, managing one draw and losing four of their other five games so far.

There was also a win for Liphakoe who defeated bottom of the table Butha Buthe Warriors 2-1.

Thabo Matšoele scored the two goals for the Quthing side who are now in sixth after winning three of their opening six games.

On Saturday, Matlama registered their second win with a 1-0 win over unstable Linare.

Tokelo Majoro’s solitary first half goal was the difference between the two clubs who are among the country’s oldest teams.

However, Tse Putsoa remained in 8th position in the 14-team league after playing five games.

LDF got their first win against struggling Likhopo in a match played at Ratjomose Barracks courtesy of a strike by veteran striker Mojela Letsie.

Defending champions Lioli continued their impressive run under Halemakale Mahlaha with a 2-0 victory over winless Sundawana.

Tšepo Seturumane and Lekhanya Lekhanya netted as Tse Nala moved to second position.

Lioli have now won three consecutive matches after a rocky start to the campaign following changes in their technical department which saw coach Mosholu ‘Shoes’ Mokhothu replaced by Mahlaha.
