THE A Division Management Committee (ADMACO) has announced that their 2018/19 season is set to commence on 15 September 2018.
The new campaign starts with a double header at Maputsoe DIFA Ground where Lifofane host Lerotholi Polytechnic in the first match while Ketane take on CCX in the second game.
Three other games will be played on the day namely LUFC vs Butha Buthe Warriors (Ratjomose Barracks), Litšilo vs Mzamane (Pitseng) and Sky Battalion vs Likila (Machabeng Ground).
The southern stream on the other hand starts the following day and will also begin with a double header to be staged at St Theresa Ground in Roma.
In other games Naughty Boys host Mangau in Mafeteng while Qoaling Highlanders host Lijabatho in Qoaling and Roma Boys host Qacha LMPS in Roma.
The northern stream welcomed new members namely Mzamane FC from the lower division while Sky Battalion were demoted from the elite league last season after two years. Qacha LMPS have made a return after a season in the lower divisions.
The winners of each of the two streams at the end of the season will be promoted to the Premier League.
The league has over the years been bankrolled by the Lesotho Football Association (LeFA).
ADMACO public relations officer Mothusi Letsie said they are ready for the new season as all clubs have completed their registration processes.
“Yes, everything is in order for the start of the new season and all that is left is an inspection of the clubs’ playing grounds,” Letsie said.
“As for the other requirements, all our clubs have managed to get through all the registration processes and are ready for the new season.”
The Lesotho Times is also informed that ADMACO is on the verge of securing sponsorship for the league from a local company.
However, Letsie could neither confirm nor deny the developments but said they are working hard to land sponsorship.
“What I can tell you is that we are working very hard to bring a sponsor on board to improve the competition between our clubs.
“I am confident that this is going to be a good year for us,” Letsie said.
ADMACO have since added two members to their committee ahead of the new season.
The two are Augustine Adusei of Qoaling Highlanders and Tumelo Chakela.
