Standard Lesotho Bank launches Elite Banking

MASERU — Standard Lesotho bank held a launch to officially introduce the new Elite banking facility on Tuesday.

Elite banking, formerly known as Gold current account, will offer personalised banking to emerging affluent existing and new clients earning between M14 000 and M34 999.

Speaking at the launch about the new product offering, Standard Lesotho Bank sales and products manager, Likengkeng Makara-Jonasi said Elite Banking was designed for clients who are particular about convenient banking, accessible banking and those seeking suitable products that match their unique banking needs at the most affordable price and are particular about excellent service quality.

“Here at Standard Lesotho Bank, we put our clients at the centre of all our decisions. Elite Banking is specially designed with that focus. It is designed to keep up with our clients’ lifestyles and growing financial needs, giving them value, yet costing them much, much less,” she said.

Some of the benefits Elite banking clients can expect to enjoy according to Makara-Jonasi, include a reduced monthly management fee of M99 per month from the previous fee of M160 per month, unsecured personal loans for up to M400 000, vehicle and asset finance and home loans.

Makara-Jonasi said the new product offering was in line with the bank’s theme of moving forward by developing new innovative products to meet the needs of the bank’s clients in the 21st century while striving to provide affordable banking and excellent service.

At the same event, head of personal and business banking Mike Edgcumbe said the bank was proud to present the Elite banking product which heeded calls from clients and stakeholders for banks to make banking more convenient and affordable.

Speaking about the benefits Elite banking afforded clients Edgcumbe said, “We are proud to be the first in Lesotho to introduce bundled pricing in the market, with a much reduced management fee and a host of great benefits.”

“By introducing the new bundled pricing offering we are giving M9.1 million per annum back to the clients in banking fees and this shows the commitment of Standard Lesotho Bank to its clients,” he added.

Edgcumbe said that Standard Lesotho bank had also reduced management fees on platinum and silver account services offered by the bank.

In addition to banking services, Elite banking customers will the added benefit of Blue sky services, a loyalty program offering Standard Lesotho Bank clients the convenience of access to a wide range of products and services at discounted prices.

Elite banking services will be provided at the bank’s Pioneer branch and other Standard Lesotho branches across the country where Elite banking customers will receive priority queuing.
