THE Lesotho PostBank will tomorrow launch its new mobile money product named Khetsi, which it says is meant to increase financial inclusion.

The bank said Khetsi is packed with services meant to make life easier for Basotho.

The Managing Director of the bank, Molefi Leqhaoe, this week said the new invention is different from others as it has special and unique features.

“Everyone can use this new invention regardless of being our card holder or not,” Mr leqhaoe said.

“All that needs to be done is to download our application on Google PlayStore, AppStore, Windows Store or dial *120*222#.

He said the service is available on both Vodacom and Econet network.

PostBank head of Business, Banking and Digital Channels, Mamohao Mapota said everyone who will register with Khetsi will have access to different services such as card less withdrawals, sending money, paying bills, purchasing airtime and merchant payments.

She said at the moment, they have 350 agents across all districts who will start working in a fortnight.

“This mobile money invention is meant to make life easier for Basotho as its more than just sending and withdrawing money,” Ms Mapota said.

She said Khetsi also has features which allow people to make micro savings, community savings. She said they will also offer loans to users after a certain period.

“People will also be able to save money and use it after a certain time as set by the user,” Ms Mapota said.

She advised Basotho to hurry and register with Khetsi to start enjoying all the benefits which come with the invention.
